Spanish courses for beginners online – Level A1 (no prior knowledge required)

• From 21 October to 16 December 2025 – 18 teaching units
  Tuesdays from 6:00 p.m. to 7:50 p.m.
• From 23 October to 18 December 2025 – 18 teaching units
  Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 10:50 a.m.

Our online courses offer the same quality as face-to-face courses. They take place on our own learning platform, where you also have the opportunity to complete additional tasks.

Funding from WAFF

elebe is Vienna-Cert and Ö-Cert certified. We are a recognised educational institution of the WAFF (Vienna Employment Promotion Fund) and meet the requirements for the award of Lower Austrian education funding.

If Vienna is your main place of residence, you could receive a WAFF subsidy of 50% of the course fee up to a maximum of €500 every four years. Further information is available on the WAFF website. Ask the WAFF!

Your journey into the Spanish-speaking world begins here

The beauty of absolute beginners is that their progress is spectacular. At the beginning, no one speaks Spanish, and little by little they engage in short dialogues; they do activities in pairs in break rooms and in groups, and we are particularly proud of their learning progress.
Now you can learn Spanish online. From level A1.1, with no prior knowledge and regardless of where you are.

Learn Spanish with a current book and native speakers

With a very current book and the latest book, pronunciation is practised in particular, although all skills – listening, speaking, writing and reading – are learned and applied in practical situations. The eleven teachers from Spain and Latin America will encourage you and help you learn this beautiful language in a fun way.

The course content corresponds to level A1.1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. We start from scratch, and the first thing you learn is basic vocabulary to communicate with simple sentences such as greetings and introductions, family, professions and basic grammar topics. Greetings and introductions, simple vocabulary: hobbies, work, holidays, preferences; phonetics, verbs in the present tense…

You don’t live in Vienna? That’s no problem. With our online lessons with a teacher, you can join a group and learn Spanish in the same way.
On our learning platform, you also have access to many alternative interactive exercises.

Small groups, big fun

Our Spanish courses have a minimum of 4 participants and a maximum of 8. That’s ideal. In a small group, everyone talks to everyone else frequently. Of course, you’ll also learn Spanish phonetics, which is fairly easy for English speakers, as well as idioms and vocabulary for everyday life.

Don’t have any previous knowledge? No problema. This is the right course for you!

You will speak Spanish from day one, but don’t worry. If necessary, the teacher can give you a grammatical explanation in English. You will need to purchase the book yourself. These are courses for (young) adults.
